【Summary】

Aflatoxins are toxic and carcinogenic. They are metabolites of the fungi Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus. There are four principal types of aflatoxin: B1, B2, G1 and G2, which are named for their respective innate fluorescent properties. Aflatoxin B1 is the most frequently encountered of the group and the most toxic one. Aflatoxins can be found mainly in milk, cereals, nuts, cottonseed and human blood.

【Use Principles】

The Aflatoxin B1 kit is an indirect competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. The Aflatoxin B1 antigen is precoated on the wells. The precoated antigen compete the Aflatoxin B1 antibody (antibody solution) with Aflatoxin B1 in the sample, anti-Aflatoxin B1 antibody binds to the Aflatoxin B1-HRP enzyme conjugate. Then pipette the substrate solution to the wells to convert the color.

The color of unknown samples is compared to the color of the standards and the Aflatoxin B1 concentration of the samples is derived.
